      East Preston Youth Night

Sponsored by the community justice society

The East Preston Youth Night is a community enhancement project funded by the Department of Justice. It is geared towards youth in the East Preston area aged 12 to 17, although they welcome youth from all areas. They meet each Thursday from 7-9pm to engage in a variety of activities and provide refreshments and snacks. Although recent interest has been for pick-up basketball, they can accommodate a range of activities including other sports, painting and drawing, reading, and creative writing.

Our youth usually spend time warming up, shooting hoops and practicing their skills before they engage in quick, high energy, first-to-seven-points basketball. The program also employs several community members who participate and engage with the youth.

The youth night program is always looking for more youth to join and for community members to volunteer their time.

For more information about participating in the youth night, contact Danica at Danica.francis@communityjusticesociety.org.

To volunteer, contact Kelly at kelly.adamson@communityjusticesociety.org
